1. Be Kind and Gentle toward Yourself

In amongst your daily tasks and routines take the time to encourage yourself through thinking and speaking positive of yourself. Maybe take some time to take yourself to a movie, go for a massage or simply enjoy a nice lunch by the beach, riverside or upon a mountain.

2. Forgiveness – Release the Old, Welcome the New

Letting go of the old is an important step to remaining lighter and brighter in ones life. To welcome the new we must give ourselves the gift of forgiveness, forgive ourselves, forgive others and be willing to acknowledge it, let go and move on. 

3. Meditation / Quiet Time

Spend some quiet time every day at least 20 min. We can sit down, walk, lie down, whatever your body desires you to do. Slowing down, watching the space around us, the sky and birds the simplicity and uniqueness of every moment.

4. Surround yourself with Positive Influences

Who we surround ourselves with is often a mirror of how we feel about ourselves. Be sure to surround yourself with kind, caring, positive, uplifting people who understand the concept of self respect. Its always helpful too if they have a vision for their lives as this often raises ones energy and personal standards.

5. Don’t Take Anything Personally 

Whatever happens around you, don’t take it personal. Nothing other people do is because of you, its because of themselves. Be immune to other peoples emotional garbage, allow it to simply slide off you knowing that it has nothing to do with you.

6. Stop making Assumptions

We make the assumption that everyone sees life the way we do, we assume that others think the way we think, feel the way we feel, judge the way we judge and abuse the way we abuse. It is always better to ask clarifying questions than to make an assumption, because assumptions set us up for suffering. 

7. Be Impeccable with your Word 

Speak with integrity, say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love. 

8. Create a Peaceful Loving Environment

Fill your home with things you like and enjoy, things that bring you peace and happiness ~ music, candles, scents, flowers, colours, pictures, art and the natural elements. Switch off technology during rest times and create a space of bliss in your home that inspires peace and love for yourself. 

9. Outdoor Earthing ~ Grounding

Spend as much time as possible outdoors, walk barefoot, on the sand or grass, grounding helps to regulate the proper energy flow in your body. Breathe deeply once you outside to expel Carbon Dioxide from your system. Deep breathing also helps to relax. 

10. Your Attitude & Positive Outlook on Life

Make sure that you always enjoy what you are doing. De-stress everyday by doing yoga, sitting quietly, listening to calming music, playing with pets and getting absorbed in your favourite activity. Walking is also an excellent form of relaxation. Find a place which is free of traffic and noise where you can simply be.
